Solace and Sanctuary

Welcome to the preview of my newest collection, Solace and Sanctuary. It was created during a time of great life change. I wanted to depict light arriving in the darkness, the presence of emergent hope. It is a constant and faithful promise that what is present today, will be changed tomorrow.

What could be more impossible to resist than the emerging golden light through a shadowed path? It reminds us that this is a new day, that the sun still sets and rises no matter what happened yesterday. The colors of this collection lean quiet, reminiscent of that time of early morning and pending twilight, when almost all color saturation is removed by virtue of a sleepy, distant sun.
